Manager of Business Analysis (#1471)

Reporting to the Director of our PMO, this new expansion position leads our Business Analyst staff ? staff which is responsible for evaluating business/systems requirements that support the strategic objectives/goals of the Association.

Critical Responsibilities:

· Provides leadership, motivation, guidance, and management to Analyst staff

· Establish/Directs the policies/procedures for business analysis and requirements gathering

· Participate in tactical and strategic operations of the PMO

· Identify, allocate, and manage resources to meet timely completion of specific project tasks

· Regularly refine and enforce a structured process and tool set for gathering requirements

· Support the Enterprise Architecture Vision in delivering optimal IT value for the business customer. Key functions include understanding of business processes and ensuring that business needs are translated into requirements specifications

· Provide an effective liaison between the business departments and IT, as well as external vendors providing IT-related services

Qualifications:

· 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience ; 2 years project management and/or supervisory experience required. Ideal career skein begins as a Business/Requirements Analyst and currently stands at Lead/Management level

· B achelor's degree, Master's preferred; PMP or IIBA certification a big plus

· Understanding and experience with the SDLC. Experience working within heterogeneous software and highly technical business environments (accent on Web technologies such as Java and XML)

· Demonstrated leadership and business competencies that include: conflict/issue resolution, analytical and organizational skills, multi-tasking, relationship building, and effective communications

· The proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests in an evolving and best-practice embracing culture while at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests

· Ability to organize and work effectively with project teams of staff across departments and divisions, constituents, and vendors
