In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit, input and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services. John Deere Credit in Johnston, Iowa is looking for an Accounting Manager to manage the accounting, reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance with Company policies for John Deere Credit's activities related to Debt, Derivatives, and Asset Backed Securitizations. Major Duties: Manages the Accounting and Reporting for Debt, Derivatives and Asset Back Securitizations. Provides accurate and timely internal and external (SEC) financial reports and statements. Primary accounting interface for debt and derivative items with John Deere Credit (JDC) and Deere treasury. Provides guidance on accounting and finance policies and procedures related to debt accounting to employees and supervisors within JDC. Interacts with other Company accounting groups, including finance, tax, internal audit plus external auditors, and other Company departments specifically legal regarding debt accounting issues of JDC. Skills & Experience Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. Treasury/Accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent (Specifically related to FAS133/139 and FAS 140). Understands the integrated systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting. Knowledge of accounting systems and policies, ideally including the process that has been followed at John Deere. Experience in financial analysis and financial reporting. Experience with Taxation. Knowledge of United States Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements (e.g. Form 10-Q, Form 10-K) Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Education Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. CPA preferred.
