Job Description
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of GAAP financial statements and reports filed with the SEC, regulatory reports filed with the FRB and FDIC and management reports submitted to senior management and the Board of Directors. This position will assist the Divisional Controller in the preparation of such reports, and will have opportunities to grow into a management role.

Essential Functions:
? Employee regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
? Perform internal and external financial reporting. Internal reports include Board financials, management reports and other financial schedules. External reports include 10K/10Q, financial press releases, Call Report, FR-Y reports and other regulatory and investor-related reports.
? Communicate with internal and outside service representatives and personnel to resolve problems and discrepancies.
? Maintain current awareness of regulatory, industry, accounting standards and system changes to help identify and implement improvements to the internal and external reporting processes.
? Perform accounting research on current accounting and reporting rules to determine the applicability to and the impact on the Company?s financial statements.
? Prepare various special projects as requested.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
? Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related required.
? CPA license or CPA candidate required (in process of taking exam parts)
? 2-4 years of related experience (public accounting background preferred)
? Prior experience with SEC reporting and/or financial accounting in the banking industry preferred.
? Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
? Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professional demeanor.
? Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
? Advanced microcomputer skills. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Well organized, flexible and multi-task oriented.
? Able to work independently and with little supervision.
