Description:

Our client is searching for an Assistant Controller for thier successful Trading Firm. The desired individual will assist in managing a team of accounting and clerical staff. You will:
* Work closely with the Controller and CFO to develop and monitor departmental profit centers, and support them through financial analysis.
* Lead the monthly financial statement close process, including the generation of management and regulatory reports.
* Participate in the coordination of the annual financial statement audit, as well as, periodic regulatory (SEC, CBOE, and FINRA) audits

The Assistant Controller candidate must have:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting and a CPA
* Minimum of 7-10 years of diverse and successful Big 4 public accounting firm or a combination of a Big 4 public accounting firm and private industry experience
* Broker-dealer industry experience or hedge fund experience
* At least 2 years of experience with QuickBooks exposure and advanced EXCEL skills
* Series 7 and 27
