Job Title: Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Our client is a growing electrical company in the South Bay area and is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager (preferably). Or, if you’re looking to gain management experience, and are a very strong Senior Accountant who’s worked in an engineering or construction related industry for several years, and have solid multi-union payrolling experience, are a go-getter, this position may be for you! Primary responsibilities include: managing payroll (multi-union, 1000+) and billing departments, month-end closing procedures, process/internal control revision and development, job costing activities, and other special projects. Candidates should have management experience, exhibiting initiative and a strong customer service attitude in all departmental aspects. This is a very roll-your-sleeves-up environment, cross-functional collaboration and teamwork is necessary and must be encouraged within the department. Public accounting experience is a plus, construction environment (preferably a specialty contractor) is a must. This position is available immediately! 5-7 years of industry accounting experience (including heavy multi-union payroll)
2+ years management experience
Familiarity with SOP 81-1
BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or comparable industry experience
