John Deere Credit in Johnston, Iowa is always looking for great Accountants to perform various complex professional accounting assignments requiring knowledge of Business Unit, Company policy, or accounting theory. Includes coordinating, preparing and analyzing financial information and reports that provide summary information for management use in making Company financial decisions. Requires additional special knowledge, insight, or technical skills.

Major Duties:

Prepares various daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual financial / cost reports, statements, or exhibits.
Gathers, reviews, and analyzes statistical information and may review documents prepared by others.
Makes necessary corrections and/or adjustments to receive accurate report information.
Examines accounting information contained in reports and exhibits, traces and reconciles unusual variances.
Provides financial counsel to management and other functional disciplines in area of expertise.
Provides guidance or supervision.
Performs complex account reconciliations.
Utilizes Essbase to consolidate and allocate financial information

Qualifications

Understanding of financial concepts such as Budgets, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Return on Investment (ROI), Operating Return on Assets (OROA), Shareholder Value Added (SVA), etc.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent.
Knowledge of accounting systems and policies, ideally including the process that has been followed at John Deere.
Understands the integrated systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting

Education
Degree in an Accounting / Finance discipline or equivalent experience.
