Accountant

The Accountant assists the Accounting Manager in controlling, maintaining and recording all financial information pertaining to Enloe Health System and related entities including Enloe Medical Center. The Accountant assists with the proper and timely recording of financial transaction in the general ledger. The Accountant aids in the preparation of monthly financial statements and other ad-hoc financial reposts for internal and external financial information users. Bachelor's degree in Business with Accounting specialization required. Two years experience diversified Accounting Required. Hospital Accounting experience desired. The Accountant must be able to aid in the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Good analytical skills are required to perform reconciliation of accounts balances and subsidiary ledgers to general ledger. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, (Microsoft Office Suite) and have the ability to learn specialized computer applications. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
